A Web 2.0 product with the right demo

There is some buzz around a new personal producitivity app called iscrybe for its Web 2.0 look and feel and its ability to work offline.

But when I look at the blog postings on the product, I am most struck by the comments on the video. First, they did a Youtube video which enables rapid distribution across the net. Second, the video is very slick with musical interludes between the sessions and all done in very low key unobtrusive manner, as opposed to so many business demo videos that trumpet their stuff in your face and force you to turn down your volume. Third, their website is barebones. No feature list comparisions (ala Oracle) or heavy weight text that you have to bore through to figure out if has the capability you need. Lowkey and very welll done.

This video is more like an informal conversation between friends. And it is very effective. I think we will be seeing much more technology product promotion done via YouTube in the future.
